Pregnancy Schedule
This is an overview of the approximate schedule of a routine pregnancy.
You will be asked to rotate and see all of our providers throughout your entire pregnancy.
1st Appointment – Breast exam, pelvic exam, Pap smear, Chlamydia/GC cultures, labwork and a vaginal probe ultrasound, if needed, to assess the fetus or fetal heart tones will be checked. You will be seen every 4 weeks from this point.
11.6 weeks to 13.1 weeks – Nuchal Translucency Test should be performed if desired. This is a screen for Down Syndrome, Trisomy 13 and Trisomy 18.
16 weeks – Quad Screen test should be performed if desired. This is a screen for Down Syndrome, Trisomy 13, Trisomy 18 and neural tube abnormalities.
20 weeks – Routine screening ultrasound will be performed at perinatal office.
27 to 28 weeks – Gestational diabetes screen will be performed.
28 weeks – Rhogam injection will be given if the patient has a negative Rh blood type. You will be seen every 2 weeks from this point.
35 - 37 weeks – Group B Strep screen will be performed. You will be seen every week from this point.
REMINDER: We will still have you see your PCP for any problems not related to pregnancy.
