Delivery Policies

We are excited to be a part of the birth of your child. We hope that you will feel confident and comfortable with the care that you will receive from our providers. We have established a few policies for the deliveries that we provide and have outlined those below.

• Our physicians only address health issues at North Kansas City Hospital and are not on staff at any other hospital. If you have any concerns or need to seek emergency care we strongly urge you to go to North Kansas City Hospital. Should you seek care at another facility, be aware that our physicians will not be able to treat you at that facility.
  
  
• We do not adhere to or sign Birthing Plans. Complications can arise during a delivery and we cannot assure that a Birthing Plan will be followed.
  
  
• North Kansas City Hospital does not allow videotaping of any delivery or procedure. You may videotape the baby after the delivery is completed.
  
  
• North Kansas City Hospital has a policy which allows a maximum of 2 people present at the time of delivery.
  
  
• No children under the age of 12 will be allowed to be present during a delivery.

We appreciate your understanding of the guidelines that we have implemented to insure that your delivery is a safe procedure for both you as a patient and our providers.
